Celebrating Ashleigh’s 3 Year Anniversary at Atkins Search!

This month, we’re proud to be celebrating Ashleigh’s 3 year anniversary at Atkins Search!

Since joining the business in September 2023, Ashleigh has made a phenomenal impact to the Construction Division, working alongside Antony, Emma and Olivia placing construction professionals into main contractors and M&E specialists across the Midlands and Yorkshire.

Ashleigh’s Journey and Achievements

Ashleigh’s drive and passion for her work has shown every day without fail. Whilst being here at Atkins Search, she has been promoted twice, from Trainee Recruitment Consultant to Senior Recruitment Consultant. As a result, she’s been the recipient of both our Employee of the Quarter and MVP award three times, showing her determination and excellent work ethic.

Ashleigh’s Reflections on her 3 Year Anniversary

“Three years at Atkins Search… where has the time gone?

Looking back, I’m incredibly proud of the journey I’ve been on and the person I’ve become, both professionally and personally.

Over the last three years, I’ve established myself as a go-to recruiter across Main Contracting and M&E throughout the Midlands and Yorkshire, building strong relationships with some fantastic clients and construction professionals along the way. One of the most rewarding parts of my role is having the confidence and knowledge of my market to represent top-tier construction talent, helping them secure their dream roles with standout businesses.

What makes me even prouder is the relationships I’ve built throughout this journey. I genuinely look forward to speaking with my clients day in and day out, whether that’s discussing recruitment plans, hearing what they’ve been up to over the weekend, or, more often than not, latest football scores! Those conversations and partnerships are a huge part of what makes this job so enjoyable.

The same goes for the candidates I’ve worked with over the last three years. Many of them have become people I still keep in touch with regularly, and without their trust and support, I wouldn’t be at the stage I am in my career today. Recruitment is all about people, and I feel incredibly fortunate to have built so many great relationships along the way.

I’ve also been lucky enough to be part of a team that genuinely values my work, supports my development, and gives me the platform to become the best version of myself. The trust, encouragement, and opportunities I’ve been given have played a huge role in my growth, and for that I’ll always be grateful.

One of my biggest struggles? Switching off! When you genuinely love what you do, it’s easier said than done. Whether its supporting clients, helping candidates take the next step in their careers, or attending networking events, I always find myself immersed in the industry.

My partner and for anyone following us on LinkedIn are forever asking, “Do you guys actually do any work?!” after hearing about another networking event, team day out, or company trip. But to me, that’s a true testament to Atkins Search and the culture we’ve built. I’ve honestly never worked for a business so generous, one that consistently recognises and rewards hard work with incredible experiences throughout the year. It never goes unnoticed, and it’s one of the many reasons I’m so proud to say I work here.

A huge thank you to Ant, Emma, and Laura for all of your support, guidance, and belief in me over the years. I genuinely couldn’t have done it without you. And hats off to you three, and everyone else in the office, for putting up with me for this long. Long may that continue…

As I celebrate three years with Atkins Search, I’m excited for what the future holds. I feel incredibly grateful for everyone I’ve worked with, learned from, and supported along the way, and I can’t wait to continue growing my career with a business I’m extremely proud to represent.”
