There can be challenging times in every construction scheme but the joy of being involved in project management is that you can take charge, find solutions and progress to a successful conclusion.
Project managers need to be highly organised, co-ordinating different stages of the construction work, creating site plans, conducting cost and scale assessments, compiling the necessary documentation and ensuring all building regulations are adhered to.
You must oversee the building schedule once work begins, managing resources and the workforce, identifying and addressing any issues and making sure the project is completed on time and within the agreed budget.
It’s a hugely satisfying role where no day is the same and you are part of creating a building that fulfils the client’s vision and needs – and leads to a proud handover once the work is completed.
