Ashleigh Curwood

Ashleigh kickstarted her career in Recruitment in 2022 at Express Recruitment as a Recruitment Assistant then was shortly promoted to Assistant to the Technical Team, which specialises in recruiting for the IT and Engineering sectors within the East Midlands.

Prior to Express Recruitment, Ashleigh’s previous experience was working with children in care to deliver employability courses to help young people obtain work experience, placements, apprenticeships and part time jobs. As much as she enjoyed this role, she felt that she was missing a fast-paced environment and therefore, took the leap into full time Recruitment.

Ashleigh joined Atkins Search as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant in September 2023 to progress her skills within Recruitment and utilise her current knowledge of Engineering recruitment to the team. In 2024, she got promoted to Recruitment Consultant, and not long after in 2025, Ashleigh was promoted to Senior Recruitment Consultant. Through her experience, she has built an extensive network within her field and takes pride in supporting some of the UK’s leading Construction companies. She is committed to working in an open, honest, and ethical manner, consistently striving to deliver the best outcomes for clients, candidates, and the business.

Ashleigh is working alongside Alex Edwards in the Permanent Construction Team, to focus on placing professionals into reputable Mechanical and Electrical Contractors and Main Contractors across the East Midlands, West Midlands, and South Yorkshire.

Outside of work, Ashleigh prides herself as being an active go getter, an avid Nottingham Forest fan and had played football herself since the age of 10. Before playing Sunday league football, Ashleigh spent numerous years playing in academy football teams for the likes of Nottingham Forest and Leicester Ladies. Now, Ashleigh spends a lot of her free time looking after her horse, Lad, taking him show jumping and to other events across the East Midlands as well as also enjoys spending quality time with friends and family and wouldn’t say no to a drink in a beer garden in the sun!
