Role

As a Bid Manager in the East Midlands operating across Nottingham, Leicester, Derby, Northampton and the surrounding areas, you will play a pivotal role in securing and renewing frameworks that are integral to the business' continued success. You will work closely with internal teams, clients and partners to lead the preparation, submission, writing and management of persuasive bids and proposals.

Responsibilities

As a Bid Manager based in the East Midlands, your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the entire bid process for new and existing framework submissions across multiple sectors
  • Collaborate with internal teams including estimating, commercial and operations to develop winning strategies and ensure compliance with client requirements
  • Conduct research and analysis to understand client needs and tailor tender response specialist proposals accordingly
  • Manage bid submissions, including writing, editing and coordinating inputs from various stakeholders
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with framework clients and industry partners across the public sector
  • Identify and pursue opportunities to enhance presence in key sectors including education, healthcare and infrastructure
  • Continuously improve the quality and efficiency of the bid process
  • Lead bid/no bid decision-making and contribute to strategic business development
  • Mentor and develop junior members of the bid writing team
  • Manage bid library, case studies and company accreditations for framework applications

Person

To be successful in this Bid Manager East Midlands job, you'll have proven experience in bid management within the construction sector, ideally with a strong focus on frameworks and public sector procurement.

The ideal candidate for this Bid Manager role in the East Midlands will bring strategic thinking, excellent stakeholder management skills and a track record of winning high-value construction frameworks and projects.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in bid management within the construction sector, ideally with a focus on frameworks
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Bid Manager role, Senior Bid Writer or similar work-winning position
  • Strong understanding of the bidding and procurement process, particularly public sector frameworks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Outstanding organisational and project management abilities, with the capability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Creative and strategic thinker with exceptional attention to detail
  • Knowledge of relevant industry frameworks including Pagabo, Scape, YORbuild and local authority frameworks
  • Experience with PQQs, SQs, ITTs and framework applications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite for document design
  • Degree in Construction Management, Business or related discipline is desirable
