Assistant Quantity Surveyor

Working closely with the Senior Quantity Surveyor and Commercial Manager, you will support the commercial management of multiple residential developments from inception through to completion.

This position is ideally suited to a Graduate, Trainee or Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to take the next step in their career and gain hands-on experience across all aspects of the surveying function. You'll be given real responsibility from day one, whilst benefiting from ongoing mentorship, training and clear progression opportunities.

• Assist with the commercial management of residential developments across the East Midlands.
• Support the preparation of monthly cost reports, budgets and forecasts.
• Assist in producing Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) and other key commercial reports.
• Support subcontract procurement activities, including preparing enquiries, analysing quotations and obtaining best value.
• Assist with raising subcontract orders and maintaining accurate commercial records.
• Help manage subcontract valuations, payments and final accounts.
• Support the assessment and management of project variations and change control procedures.
• Assist in preparing interim valuations and payment applications.
• Attend site, progress and commercial meetings alongside the wider project team.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Support the operational teams with day-to-day commercial and contractual matters.
• Gain exposure to all aspects of quantity surveying while working towards your long-term career goals.
