An established construction main contractor with the client at the focus of their approach, my client offers a consistent service across the public and private sectors. With a large portfolio of schemes, our client operate across the MOD, healthcare, MOJ, commercial and industrial sectors.

As the Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be working as part of a forward-thinking commercial team to deliver a mix of MOD, healthcare, MOJ, commercial and industrial sectors.

Working alongside the Senior Quantity Surveyors and Quantity Surveyors, your job will be to support in the delivery of projects in a cost-effective, quality focused manor. Due to the expansion of the business, there are genuine opportunities to progress in your role and build a long-term career.

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

• Process invoices/applications for payments
• Support Commercial department as and when required
• Receive tenders and assist with the analysis sheet for each trade
• Assist with the compiling of tender packages for sub-contract trades
• Assist with the issuing of sub-contract orders
• Attend site, client and team meetings

The ideal candidate for the Assistant Quantity Surveyor job will have a proven track record as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in a construction main contracting environment. You will also need to be proactive, positive and confident communicating at all levels and able to work as part of a team.

• Quantity Surveying degree/qualification
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor
• JCT and NEC contract experience
• Relevant Quantity Surveying experience working for a main contractor on similar projects
• Ambitious, career driven attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
