February 2026 at Atkins Search 

February has been a short but a very productive month at Atkins Search. Our team have come together to celebrate massive achievements and celebrated seasonal festivities to keep spirits high during the month of love. Despite February moving very quickly, our construction recruitment agency has prioritised operational efficiency to ensure we’re delivering maximum value. Here’s everything we got up to throughout February. 

Laura Belcher’s 7 Year Work Anniversary 

This month, we celebrated a special milestone as Laura Belcher, Operations Director, marked her 7th work anniversary with Atkins Search! Laura is an integral part of our construction recruitment agency’s journey, and her expertise in the built environment sector have shaped the specialist consultancy and consultative team we are today. Seven years of outstanding contribution deserves recognition, and we couldn’t be prouder to have her as part of the team. Here’s to many more! 

Valentine’s Day Fuddle 

On February 14th, we marked Valentine’s Day with the obligatory valentines-themed fuddle. Our construction recruitment consultants brought in a varied spread, including heart shaped pizza and salami roses, homemade love heart white chocolate crispy cakes and a “loved-up” colin the caterpillar, all washed down with some pink lemonade and Fanta fruit twist. This was an excellent occasion to share the love and showcase our innovate cooking skills, it was certainly up there with a winning fuddle to date! 

Ashleigh Curwood and Emma Welsh site visit to the Belper Integrated Health Hub 

Ashleigh Curwood, Senior Recruitment Consultant and Emma Welsh, Divisional Director, went out on site at the Belper Integrated Health Hub, being delivered by Henry Brothers. The two were able to see how the project is coming together and how it’s going to look once finished, with completion due summer 2026. Emma and Ashleigh gained a first-hand understanding of the site’s unique dynamics to ensure we match candidates who fit the project’s culture and specific technical requirements. 

Pancake Day 

Atkins Search celebrated Shrove Tuesday this year, we treated the team to a variety of thick, thin, big and small pancakes and a range spread of toppings to suit every taste.  
The team had the classic debate: sweet vs savoury? Our construction consultants settled the debate with the team firmly on the sweet side, with the classic Nutella and sugar and lemon being the clear favourites! 

Jess Jones Attended a WordPress Masterclass 

Professional development remained a priority throughout February, with Jess Jones, Marketing Executive, taking part in a WordPress Masterclass to sharpen her digital skills. As a construction recruitment agency dedicated to investing internally, we continue to ensure the professional growth of our team so we can deliver the best possible experience to those searching for construction jobs or talent across the UK. Well done, Jess! 

Atkins Search House Party 

Our much-anticipated Q4 social saw the office transformed for an Atkins Search House Party! Organised by our Q3 Employee of the Quarter, Nicole Broughton, the night featured a mix of games, karaoke and beer pong, with the team pivoting into ‘party mode’ the moment the working day ended. This was a brilliantly unique idea from Nicole, who curated a speaker and disco ball, secured us drinks and pizzas so we fully equipped to release our authentic Atkins Search vibe! 

Internal Training Session 

Each week in February, we held internal training sessions to continue our commitment to keeping the Atkins Search team at the top of their game. We always aim to stay sharp on recruitment best practices and market trends within the construction and property industries, so our consultants are always well-equipped to support both employers and candidates in the built environment sector.

Rounding off a brilliant month, Laura Belcher attended an International Women’s Day Lunch, representing Atkins Search at an event celebrating the achievements and contributions of women across industries.
