Client Programme Manager
Overview
Are you an experienced programme or project professional within the built environment, looking for your next role and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact?
We’re recruiting a Client Programme Manager in Nottingham to help shape and deliver high-impact construction and property programmes across Nottinghamshire and beyond. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity within a purpose-led organisation that combines public sector values with commercial expertise, offering real influence, a collaborative culture, and projects that make a lasting difference to communities.
If you’re ready to step into a strategic, visible role where you’ll lead programmes from concept to completion and help shape the future of public sector estates, we’d love to hear from you.
Client
Our client is a well-established, multidisciplinary built environment organisation operating as part of a wider public sector group, providing services across procurement, design, construction, property management, and regeneration. Wholly rooted in public sector values, the group reinvests surplus income to improve socioeconomic outcomes for local communities, making this a role purposeful beyond commercial delivery.
The organisation operates across multiple subsidiaries spanning public sector frameworks, private sector construction, architecture, and sustainability, offering the successful candidate broad cross-functional scope and enterprise-wide influence. With a strong emphasis on collaboration, continuous improvement, and sustainability, this is a business that takes its safety, health, and environmental responsibilities seriously at every level.
Role
As a Client Programme Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering complex, high-value programmes across a diverse public sector estate. Acting as the bridge between client strategy and project delivery, you’ll lead early-stage project development while maintaining oversight through to successful completion.
You’ll work across a wide range of schemes, from new-build schools and office developments to refurbishments and extensions, ensuring ideas are translated into structured, deliverable programmes.
Reporting to the Head of Client Strategy, you’ll act as the trusted programme-level contact, driving governance, communication, and coordination across multiple projects. You’ll work closely with design, project management, and delivery teams to ensure aligned, high-quality outcomes.

- Supporting governance and performance through project execution plans, risk registers, and structured frameworks
- Championing collaboration and continuous improvement within a “one team” culture
- Representing the business confidently at client meetings and stakeholder events
- Supporting delivery excellence by working closely with PMO and delivery teams to manage risks and maintain programme performance
- Developing others by coaching junior colleagues and contributing to professional growth and capability building
