Senior Quantity Surveyor
Overview
Are you a Senior Quantity Surveyor looking for your next step in the Northeast? Atkins Search are currently working in partnership to support a well-known, specialist developer in Bridlington who operate on a national basis, who’re looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to work on complex construction schemes across Yorkshire, North and the wider region.
This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with hybrid working, and excellent progression opportunities.

Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor based in the Northeast, you will be responsible for the following responsibilities:
- Supporting on a range of construction projects and supervising the work of the quantity surveyors, assistants and apprentices in your team and helping them to fulfil their potential.
- Liaising directly with the project director, consultants and contractors on the design team, pre and post contract.
- Promote the services of the practice at every opportunity including attendance and involvement at appropriate networking and marketing events.
- Following the company Quality Management System in the delivery of all services.
- Managing multiple projects simultaneously and developing excellent time management strategies.
Person
The successful candidate for the Senior Quantity Surveying role will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Cost Management or a related field.
- MRICS chartered or working towards
- Experience in running own projects within a quantity surveying capacity for either a Private Practice, Developer or related organisation.
- Proficiency in measurement, ideally using CostX Measurement Software.
- Experience in supporting large, complex projects
- Strategically minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and managerial skills.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Skilled negotiator.
- Driving licence and own car.
- Willingness to travel to sites across the UK as required.
