Role

Our client is looking to bring in an Assistant Site Manager to work as a part of their existing construction team. You will be working on various construction projects alongside the Project Managers and given all the necessary tools to develop your career as a part of a highly successful construction contractor.

Responsibilities

As an Assistant Site Manager in Derby, your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

  • Assist with overseeing all on-site operations, including subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
  • Shadow and support the Project Managers with the day to day running of the projects and provide clear direction to those working on the construction site regarding their responsibilities and targets.
  • Assist with management and implementation of health and safety procedures. Ensure that all aspects of health and safety are followed and adhered to.
  • Ensure site presentation is always maintained at the correct standard.
  • Assist the Project Managers with producing accurate progress reports and ensure that they are updated accordingly.

Person

To be successful in this Assistant Site Manager job, you will need:

  • Current or previous roles as an Assistant Site Manager
  • Strong person management and delegation skills
  • Effective communication and listening skills
  • A good understanding of the building regulations, local authority agreements
  • Previous experience working within the commercial or residential construction industry
  • Ability to organise and prioritise your workload effectively
  • Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • SMSTS and CSCS
