Life at Atkins Search
Since joining us as a Business Administrator Apprentice in 2023, in the past year Lily has officially completed her apprenticeship and progressed into her role as Business Support Administrator. Throughout the past few months, Lily has explored her future career path through a 1 year rotation programme, experiencing a Resourcing Consultant role, Personal Assistant, and continued with Business Administration. During her Resourcing rotation, she has been working alongside Olivia Hartley and Nicole Broughton to recruit construction consultancy professionals throughout the Midlands and Yorkshire regions.
Over the past year, she’s helped improve business admin processes, supported recruitment initiatives and made a meaningful contribution to the construction recruitment team. As a result, Lily was also named Monthly Valued Player in April, recognising her drive and the value she brings to the business.
Lily has taken a moment to reflect on the past 2 years at Atkins Search –
“I can’t believe it’s already been 2 years since I joined Atkins Search! When I started as an Apprentice Administrator in 2023, I never imagined how much confidence and experience I would gain in such a short time. Over the last 2 years, I’ve achieved my Level 3 qualification in Business Administration, applying what I’ve learnt to my daily responsibilities, while also gaining valuable insight into both the construction and recruitment industries.
Most recently, I’ve had the opportunity to take part in a rotation programme, which has allowed me to broaden my knowledge, develop new skills, and gain a keeper understating of how the company operates.
One of my proudest moments so far was working alongside Laura Belcher to organise our Networking Evening in November 2024. Seeing our ideas come to life and watching everyone enjoy the event was incredibly rewarding – knowing I played a part in making it happen was a highlight of my journey so far. I couldn’t have done it without the support and guidance of my amazing colleagues, who have motivated me every step of the way to be the best version of myself.
Although it’s only been 2 years, it truly feels like I’ve been part of the Atkins Search team for much longer. The business has continuously believed in me and supported my growth, and I’m genuinely excited to see what the next chapter holds.”
