- OverviewAtkins Search are looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor on behalf of our client who are a tier one civil engineering and construction main contractor to lead on one of their West Midlands based projects. Once this project has reached completion, schemes can be based nationally. ClientOur client is an established multidisciplinary tier 1 main contractor, who are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead on their Civil Engineering and Infrastructure projects. They have a solid pipeline of upcoming projects and a great reputation in the industry for delivering high quality schemes across the UK. RoleAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be taking the lead on a large Civil Engineering and infrastructure projects heading up a team of surveyors and taking responsibility for all aspects of the commercial process from Preconstruction stages through to delivery.There is scope to progress into a Managing Quantity Surveyor Position within 12 months of successfully leading this large project for the right candidate.Responsibilities
- Collate and present monthly project reports.
- Update all costs across projects on a regular basis.
- Assist the team with commercial and contractual expertise.
- Assembling of costs for forecasting in line with site budgets.
- Supporting junior members of the commercial team.
- Develop and manage mitigation plans.Person
- Excellent man management skills.
- Strong and capable communicator at all levels.
- Contractually excellent – showing a great understanding of NEC Contract suites.
- Variety of project and sector knowledge.
- Well networked with sub-contractors in the region.
- Demonstrate excellent negotiation skills and build strong relationships with clients, consultants, supply chains and team members.
