Role
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Leicester, you'll lead cost management services on complex construction projects, managing client relationships and mentoring junior quantity surveying staff. You'll provide expert commercial advice across project lifecycles, from initial cost planning through procurement to final account settlement under NEC and JCT contracts.

Responsibilities
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Leicester, your responsibilities will include:
- Lead cost management and quantity surveying services across diverse construction projects
- Manage commercial delivery including cost planning and procurement strategies
- Mentor and develop junior quantity surveyors
- Lead commercial meetings with clients, contractors and design teams
- Oversee budget management, risk assessment and value engineering initiatives
- Ensure compliance with RICS standards and quality frameworks
- Support tender submissions and client relationship management
Person
To be successful in this Senior Quantity Surveyor job in Leicester, you will bring substantial post-qualification experience with demonstrable leadership capabilities.
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, Principal QS or cost management lead
- RICS-accredited (MRICS) or working towards with strong CPD record
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and mentoring staff
- Excellent client-facing abilities and commercial negotiation expertise
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related discipline
- Experience across commercial, residential or logistics sectors preferred
Remuneration
