My client is a dynamic, multi-disciplinary consultancy with a strong UK and European presence, operating from numerous offices and employing high-performing teams across project management, building surveying, and related disciplines.

Their North West office is well established and continuing to grow, with a close-knit team environment and a strong leadership structure in place. The business prides itself on delivering exceptional service, resulting in a high level of repeat business from major funds, investors, and key stakeholders.

With an impressive track record in the commercial property sector and a growing project pipeline, they offer a collaborative, non-hierarchical environment where individuals are empowered to take ownership of their projects and career progression.

Role

As a Senior Project Manager, you will support the delivery of projects across a range of sectors including commercial real estate, industrial, hospitality, retail, and residential schemes, from inception through to completion.

You will work closely with senior leadership and wider project teams, taking responsibility for managing full project lifecycles, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager based in Manchester, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering end-to-end new build and refurbishment projects across multiple sectors
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring excellent service delivery and relationship management
  • Managing project planning, execution, and reporting throughout the full lifecycle
  • Administering JCT contracts and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations
  • Undertaking site inspections and coordinating with contractors and consultants
  • Managing project finances including budgeting, forecasting, invoicing, and reporting
  • Preparing project documentation including reports, programmes, and meeting outputs
  • Supporting tendering processes and contributing to business development where appropriate
  • Collaborating with internal teams and supporting junior team members where required

Person

To be successful as a Senior Project Manager in Manchester, you will align with our requirements and bring:

  • Proven experience within project management in the built environment (consultancy or main contractor background considered)
  • Strong experience delivering full project lifecycles across commercial or mixed-use developments (non-infrastructure)
  • Sound knowledge of JCT contracts and construction processes
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A collaborative and proactive approach, with the ability to hit the ground running
  • Commercial awareness with the confidence to manage client relationships and contribute to business growth
  • Chartership (MRICS, MAPM, MCIOB) or working towards is desirable but not essential
  • A willingness to adapt to new systems and ways of working
