Role
As a Senior Project Manager in Leeds, you'll oversee end-to-end delivery on high-value education, healthcare and aviation schemes, working under NEC and JCT contracts. You'll have the authority and tools to lead procurement, stakeholder engagement and project delivery to ensure schemes meet quality, budget, and compliance targets.
This is an excellent project leadership opportunity for an ambitious Construction Project Manager or Senior Project Manager to manage multiple builds with national visibility.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Project Manager in Birmingham, your responsibilities will include:
- Lead and manage multiple large-scale education, healthcare, and aviation construction projects and new-build projects from inception through to completion.
- Act as the client-facing Lead Project Manager, providing expert advice on cost planning, programme management, procurement strategy and risk management.
- Administer construction contracts under JCT and NEC agreements, ensuring contractual obligations and compliance are met.
- Prepare tender documentation, manage tender evaluation processes, and provide recommendations for contractor and consultant appointments.
- Oversee project programmes and progress reporting using Microsoft Project and other project scheduling tools.
- Instigate value engineering and standardisation processes to optimise construction project efficiency.
- Support strategic initiatives and propose innovative service delivery solutions for construction clients.
- Ensure compliance with CDM 2015 regulations, health and safety standards, and quality assurance frameworks.
Person
To be successful in this Senior Project Manager job in Leeds, you will bring significant experience leading high-value construction projects within a consultancy or main contracting environment.
- Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager, Construction Project Manager, or project leadership role in the built environment.
- Strong track record leading high-value, new-build retail projects, including supermarkets, coffee shops, retail stores, and service stations.
- Degree or Masters in Construction Management, Project Management, or a related construction discipline.
- Membership of a professional body such as RICS or CIOB preferred.
- Strong experience with NEC and JCT contracts.
- Confident client-facing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to hit the ground running.
- Flexible, with experience working across multiple locations and managing construction projects independently.
