Atkins Search are recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join the Commercial team for our client, who are a well-established and successful Main Contractor based in Peterborough.

Our client is a successful, multi-disciplined construction main contractor delivering a mix of projects across the residential and commercial sectors.
Role
Our client has a requirement for a Quantity Surveyor to join their established commercial team, where you will be tasked with the commercial responsibility of overseeing multiple, diverse projects throughout the region. Due to the stage of the business' development, there is an opportunity to quickly progress in the role for the right candidates.
Responsibilities
- Cost management and contractual control of live projects
- Managing subcontract accounts, procurement, and final accounts
- Working with site teams to assess contract risk and manage mitigation plans
Person
- Excellent man management skills
- Strong and capable communicator at all levels
- Contractually excellent - JCT and NEC
- Variety of project and sector knowledge
- Well networked with sub-contractors in the region
- Demonstrate excellent negotiation skills and build strong relationships with clients, consultants, supply chains and team members
- Capable of delivering projects on time and to budget
Remuneration
Competitive with the current market place and to include a car allowance or company car and package
