Quantity Surveyor

CLIENT
Our client is a collaborative and multi-disciplinary consultancy providing expert advisory, design, and delivery services across a diverse range of construction projects. They are committed to delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions and are recognised for their strong values and innovative approach.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add an experienced Quantity Surveyor to their Commercial team.
ROLE
As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in providing accurate cost management and estimation services across a varied project portfolio. You’ll work closely with colleagues across cost, design, and delivery teams to help ensure successful outcomes from initial feasibility through to completion.
Typical projects may include:
- New build developments
- Refurbishment and improvement schemes
- A range of local or regional construction projects
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing cost plans and estimates during early project stages
- Delivering end-to-end cost management services
- Procuring and managing contractors and consultants
- Leading contract documentation and financial reporting
- Producing monthly cost and value reports
- Managing change control and maintaining financial oversight
- Advising on commercial and contractual matters
- Supporting compliance with relevant Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
- Contributing to sustainable and efficient project delivery
PERSON
To be successful, you should ideally offer:
- Proven experience in quantity surveying within the construction sector
- A degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent experience
- Strong commercial awareness and contractor management skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
- A proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team
- Strong ICT skills and confidence managing multiple projects
- An understanding of sustainable construction practices
REMUNERATION
