Overview

Atkins Search are currently working in partnership with a well-established property and construction consultancy to recruit a Project Manager for their Sheffield office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in Architecture, Project Management or Design Management to join a growing team and lead projects from concept through to completion. The role offers exposure to a diverse range of sectors, close client interaction, and genuine opportunities for long-term career progression.

Our client is an established multidisciplinary property and construction consultancy offering Architecture, Project Management, Quantity Surveying and related advisory services across a range of sectors including Residential, Commercial, Industrial, Education and Mixed-Use developments.
Known for delivering innovative and practical solutions, they have built a strong reputation through their collaborative approach, technical expertise and commitment to providing exceptional client service. Due to continued growth and an increasing pipeline of projects, they are seeking a Project Manager to join their Sheffield team.
Role
As a Project Manager based in Sheffield, you will be responsible for the following:
- Managing projects throughout the full lifecycle from feasibility and design development through to construction and handover.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors and stakeholders.
- Coordinating multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
- Working closely with architectural and design teams throughout the planning and delivery stages.
- Preparing project programmes, monitoring progress and reporting on project performance.
- Managing project budgets, risks and key deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
- Chairing project meetings and maintaining clear communication between all parties.
- Reviewing designs and technical information to ensure projects align with client requirements and project objectives.
- Supporting business development activities and helping to strengthen existing client relationships.
- Ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Person
The successful candidate for the Project Manager role will be able to demonstrate the following attributes:
- Degree qualified in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Construction Project Management or a related discipline.
- Previous experience in a Project Management role within the construction or property sector.
- An Architectural background or experience working within an architectural practice is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of the design, planning and construction process.
- Experience managing projects across multiple sectors including Residential, Commercial or Education.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to identify and manage project risks.
- A proactive and client-focused approach to project delivery.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Chartered status or working towards professional accreditation (RIBA, RICS, CIOB or APM) would be advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to project locations as required.
