Junior Project Manager

Atkins Search is currently recruiting for a Junior Project Manager to join a Wakefield based specialist firm of Project Managers, Contract Administrators, Quantity Surveyors and CDM consultants. This is a full time, permanent role with a realistic potential of progression within a multi discipline business.

My client is an award winning, well established multi-disciplinary company who operate across various public and private sectors including Residential, retail, Education, Healthcare, Transport etc.

Our client works closely with various construction providers across the UK, providing a wide scope of opportunity for their employees.

As a Junior Project manager you will be responsible for both commercial and delivery aspects of the project, including but not limited to:

• Supporting Project Managers in the successful delivery of construction and property projects.
• Assisting with project planning, programming, and monitoring project progress.
• Coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and issuing minutes and action trackers.
• Liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
• Monitoring project risks and assisting with mitigation strategies.
• Supporting procurement activities and consultant appointments.
• Tracking project costs, budgets, and reporting information.
• Assisting in the management of project documentation and project governance processes.
• Conducting site visits and attending progress meetings.
• Preparing project reports and presentations for clients and senior stakeholders.
• Ensuring projects are delivered in line with programme, budget, and quality objectives.

To be successful in the Junior Project Manager role, the ideal person will bring:

• Degree qualified in Project Management, Construction Management, Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction & Property Development, or a related discipline.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience and knowledge of JCT minor works.
