Are you an experienced Construction Project Manager looking to lead impactful projects across the Midlands?

We’re hiring a Project Manager to join our client’s growing consultancy team in Birmingham, delivering refurbishment, fit out and M&E schemes throughout Nottingham, Lincolnshire and the wider Midlands region.

This is a full-time, permanent opportunity offering hybrid flexibility, professional progression and the chance to deliver projects across the healthcare sector.

Our client is a long-established construction consultancy operating nationally with a strong Midlands presence.

They deliver a diverse portfolio of capital works, including healthcare refurbishments and local authority upgrades.

Known for quality, innovation and people-centric leadership, our client supports their Project Managers with professional training (including APC support), structured progression and a positive culture.

Role

As a Project Manager, you’ll deliver multiple refurbishment and M&E projects - typically valued between £20k and £1m, covering emergency lighting upgrades, boiler replacements, roofing works, fit-outs and refurbishments.

You’ll manage projects through all RIBA stages (0-7), liaise with design teams, and act as the key point of contact for clients and stakeholders to ensure successful outcomes on every scheme.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Project Manager seeking hands-on project leadership and exposure to varied & fast-paced schemes.

Responsibilities

As a Project Manager in Birmingham, you will:

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery from design through completion.
  • Coordinate project planning, tendering, and contract administration.
  • Coordinate consultants, contractors and client teams, ensuring stakeholder alignment.
  • Conduct site visits to review progress.
  • Oversee programme management to ensure projects meet deadlines.
  • Produce project reports, progress updates, snag lists and completion documentation.

Person Specification:

We’re looking for a motivated Project Manager with:

  • Proven experience within a construction consultancy or main contracting environment.
  • Strong background in refurbishment and/or M&E projects.
  • A construction or property-related degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple live projects and maintain attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with SharePoint or similar document management systems.
  • Ambition to progress within a structured career pathway (APC support provided).
