ROLE
As a Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in leading projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
You will primarily manage projects for a prestigious central government client, working within a supportive team environment that offers full training, career development opportunities, and access to market-leading expertise.
This role provides a clear pathway for professional growth within a leading UK consultancy, with exposure to a wide range of exciting projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key responsibilities of the Project Manager will include:
- Supporting the agreement of client briefs at project inception alongside appointed consultants
- Co-ordinating, managing, and communicating with clients, project stakeholders, and design teams to meet project requirements
- Preparation of project programmes and undertaking programme management activities
- Overseeing change management processes and leading the design coordination
- Managing and controlling project delivery, including cost control, through all RIBA stages
- Preparing and issuing project documentation, including Project Execution Plans (PEP), Strategy Reports, Risk Registers, and Progress Reports
Due to the nature of the projects, candidates must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance.
PERSON
The ideal Project Manager will demonstrate:
- Experience delivering project management services within the construction or property sectors
- A strong understanding of building technology and construction principles
- Excellent client-facing, communication, and presentation skills
- A proactive, compassionate approach, contributing to a positive team culture
Desirable qualifications and experience:
- Experience managing public sector construction projects
- Knowledge of the Five Case Model for business case development
- Membership of a professional body such as RICS, CIOB, or CIBSE
- Chartered status, or working towards achieving Chartership
