Overview

We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Project Manager to support the continued growth of the project team for our client who a UK leading, Tier 1 construction main contractor based in Nottingham. Due to securing several new, exciting projects, our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager to join the team, delivering
varied construction schemes across the East Midlands.

Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Project Manager will deliver education, healthcare, commercial and MOD schemes with values between £10m to £60m. Operating as part of a wider construction projects team, Project Managers will ensure all policies, procedures and standards are followed in line with specified drawings, within budget and on time.

Responsibilities

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning the entire project to meet contractual and industry standards by organising the resources so that suitable resources are available to deliver the project on time and defect free.

  • Coordinate with the commercial staff to ensure the resources, supply chain and contractual opportunities can be utilised to maximise returns.
  • Manage day-to-day site operations, including scheduling, subcontractor management, and material delivery.
  • Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with project plans, specifications, and health and safety regulations.
  • Monitor project progress and identify any issues or areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, and subcontractors, to ensure that projects are completed to the required standards.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, change orders, and project schedules.
  • Manage relationships with clients and other stakeholders and ensure that all project-related communications are handled in a timely and professional manner.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets and manage costs throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and identify and address any safety hazards or risks.
  • Manage project closeout activities, including inspections, punch lists, and final documentation.

Person

  • Current or previous roles as a Project Manager working on behalf of a Tier 1 construction main contractor.
  • SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid certifications.
  • Dedicated, ambitious individual who takes pride in their work.
  • Ability to operate as part of a large, dynamic team.
  • Proven ability and experience delivering new build projects up to £60m in value.
  • NVQ level 6 is desirable, but not essential.
  • IT literate.
