Role

As a Project Manager in Nottingham, you will manage construction projects within the consultancy's defence and secure-environment portfolio. You will administer NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, manage programme and cost performance, and represent the consultancy at client-facing meetings.

The role is predominantly office-based in Nottingham with occasional travel to project sites across the region. You will work alongside experienced Senior Project Managers and Associate Directors, giving you clear exposure to the next step in your career progression.

Responsibilities

As an NEC Project Manager based in Nottingham, your responsibilities will include:

  • Administer NEC3 and NEC4 contracts across defence and public-sector construction schemes.
  • Manage project delivery from feasibility, design and procurement through to completion and handover.
  • Monitor and report on programme, cost, risk, and quality performance.
  • Lead stakeholder communication across client, contractor, and supply chain teams.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM 2015, defence-sector governance, and project reporting requirements.
  • Prepare accurate progress reports and attend client-facing project meetings.
  • Identify and manage project risks to protect timelines and budgets.
  • Support senior team members on complex or high-value programmes.

Person

To be considered for this Project Manager job in Nottingham, you will need:

  • Proven experience delivering construction or infrastructure projects as a Project Manager, ideally within a consultancy environment.
  • Working knowledge of NEC3 and/or NEC4 contracts (NEC accreditation is desirable).
  • Strong stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to obtain BPSS Security Clearance (existing clearance is advantageous).
  • A degree, HNC or HND in Construction Management, Project Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Working towards or holding professional membership (APM, MCIOB, MRICS or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving licence for occasional regional site travel.
