Graduate Project Manager


OVERVIEW

A brand new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and driven Graduate Project Manager to join a leading, national construction consultancy within their Leeds office. This role offers exposure to a wide range of construction projects and responsibilities across both pre- and post-contract stages.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to grow within project management, gain hands-on experience in a supportive construction environment, and work towards managing projects independently.

ROLE

As a Graduate Project Manager, you will support senior project managers and gradually take ownership of specific project tasks. The role spans contract administration, project programming, client liaison, consultant coordination, and wider project delivery functions.

You’ll play a key part in planning, managing, monitoring, and delivering construction projects that meet time, budget, and quality expectations. With strong potential for career development, this position provides a clear pathway for those at graduate, trainee, or junior project management level aiming to move into more senior roles within construction consultancy.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting senior project managers and leading on specific project elements
  • Understanding and delivering on client briefs
  • Chairing project and design meetings, and issuing minutes
  • Preparing and updating project programmes and documentation
  • Coordinating between the project team, client, and contractor
  • Liaising with clients, consultants, and managing deliverables
  • Assisting with tender processes, bids, and project documentation
  • Delivering progress reports to clients and internal management
  • Supporting lessons-learnt reviews and wider business activities
  • Always maintaining a professional and helpful manner

PERSON

The ideal Graduate Project Manager will bring:

  • Bachelors or Masters in a related Construction field
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong time management and organisational abilities
  • A proactive, self-starting attitude and a passion for the construction industry
  • Competency with Microsoft Office software
