As a Commercial Fit Out & Interiors Estimator based in Chesterfield, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates across a range of interior fit out and refurbishment projects.

You'll review drawings and specifications, liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing, and produce detailed tender submissions. Working closely with project managers and design teams, you'll ensure costs are controlled, risks are identified early, and proposals are fully aligned with client expectations, helping the business win and successfully deliver commercial fit out schemes across the UK.

As a Commercial Fit Out & Interiors Estimator in Chesterfield, your responsibilities will include:

• Detailed Cost Estimating: Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for commercial fit out and interiors projects, covering materials, labour, subcontractor packages and overheads.
• Tender Management: Review and analyse tender documentation, preparing detailed and competitive bid submissions in line with client requirements and programme timelines.
• Supplier & Subcontractor Liaison: Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations, assess value engineering opportunities and manage procurement queries.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, design teams and clients to ensure estimates align with project specifications, scope of works and delivery timelines.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to refining estimating processes, maintain up-to-date cost benchmarks, and keep current with commercial interiors market trends and material pricing.

To be successful in this Commercial Fit Out Estimator role in Chesterfield, you will bring:

• Proven experience estimating fit out and interiors projects within the construction industry, ideally for a fit out contractor or main contractor.
• Strong proficiency in interpreting drawings, specifications and scope of works documents across commercial interiors schemes.
• Familiarity with estimating software and Microsoft Excel; experience with packages such as Bluebeam, Causeway or similar is advantageous.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across pre-construction, project and design teams.
• High level of accuracy across all cost planning, tender and procurement activities.
