A growing and dynamic construction business based in Nottingham is seeking a Fitout Estimator to join their current team playing a pivotal role in the pre-construction phases of interesting and varied projects across the UK.

Due to the business location, this role will suit those commuting from either Nottingham or Derby.

The Fitout Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of interior and fit-out projects. They will review drawings and specifications, liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing, and produce detailed tender submissions. Working closely with the project and design teams, the estimator will ensure costs are controlled, risks are identified, and proposals are aligned with client expectations, helping the business win and successfully deliver high-quality fit-out projects.

As a Fitout Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction phase, ensuring that all projects are accurately costed and aligned with client expectations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Detailed Cost Estimating: Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for fit-out projects, encompassing materials, labour, and overheads.
• Tender Management: Review and analyse tender documentation, preparing detailed and competitive bids.
• Supplier & Subcontractor Liaison: Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and assess value engineering opportunities.
• Project Collaboration: Work closely with project managers and design teams to ensure estimates align with project specifications and timelines.
• Continuous Improvement: Contribute to refining estimating processes and maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and cost benchmarks.

We are seeking an individual with:

• Experience: Proven experience in estimating fit-out projects within the construction industry.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
• Software Knowledge: Familiarity with estimating software and Microsoft Excel.
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of work.
