- Overview We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Senior Estimator to support the continued growth of the pre-construction team for our client, who a well-established and successful Main Contractor based in Lincoln. Client Our client are a well-established business with an enviable reputable for delivering projects across the region.
- Construction Main Contractor with a well-established presence in the South Yorkshire, East Midlands and Lincolnshire regions working with a select group of clients and developers on tendered and negotiated projects.
- Working in both the public and private sectors, the client has a steady flow of tenders and are focused on quality not quantity. Role You will be a key member of the pre-construction team focused on Commercial, Healthcare, Industrial and Education tenders in the East Midlands ranging from £2m to £25m in value. This will be varied role due to the nature of the work and will broaden the experience and develop the skills of the successful applicant. Ideally you will be focused on two stage tenders, fully supported by Planners, Design Managers and Bid Managers, so this isn’t a solo show, it’s about working as a team. Responsibilities
- Identifying opportunities to add value throughout the project process.
- Inputting into subcontractor and supplier procurement, ensuring best value
- Preparing estimates for planning, organising and scheduling project work.
- Managing pre-qualification and pre-bid submissions.
- Ensuring that relevant documents and budgets are submitted before a bid deadline
- Supporting junior members of the estimating and preconstruction team Person
- Experienced Senior Estimator used to working on projects to £2m - £25m
- Pricing of projects - both single and two stage tenders
- Sub-contractor liaison experience for tender purposes
- Proven track record of delivering, work winning competitive tenders
- Taking off quants experience required, but this is generally outsourced to allow you to focus on the interesting stuff.
- Good communicator at all levels
