Role
A fantastic role has arisen for a Director - Structural Engineering that requires a blend of technical expertise, work winning capabilities and leadership ability. You will assist with leading a team of competent structural engineers and technicians to deliver projects within an agreed budget, timescale and to a high quality.
This includes delivering your own projects, communicating with clients, stakeholders and external teams as necessary to ensure the brief is adhered to in the delivery of the projects whilst maintaining a positive client relationship.
An important aspect of this role is to act as mentor team members, providing advice and guidance utilising previous project knowledge.
Person
The successful Director - Structural Engineering will ideally have:
- Degree level qualification in Engineering (Civil or Structural Engineering) or equivalent.
- Membership of relevant professional engineering institution - ideally IStructE, ICE, CEng or similar (Desirable)
- Proven track record as a successful Director, Technical Director, Project Director and/or Associate Director with a Engineering Consultancy.
- Successful track record within work winning and business development of both new and existing clients.
- Experience of building design and structures across a range of sectors, ideally education, retail and commercial, healthcare, residential, leisure, logistics and manufacturing.
- Strong communication and problem solving skills with a commercial mindset.
