Client
My client, a Leeds based Construction Consultancy are currently expanding their Building Surveying team within their vibrant Leeds office to build on its ongoing success, as Building Surveyor, you would be working in an award winning multi-disciplinary construction consultancy, with a secure pipeline of work.
Sectors include public buildings and estates, residential and housing, education, healthcare, commercial, retail etc.
Role
As a Building Surveyor, you will be heavily involved in supporting more senior members. You will also be responsible for a variety of day-to-day activities including:
- Supporting delivery of building surveying services
- Leading projects and helping with coordinating
in house multi discipline design services - Client management
- Technical reviews to manage the quality of our services
- Ideally working towards or currently MRICS Chartered
- Consultancy experience
- Be able to manage your own workload with supervision
- Capable of organising your work
- Good communication and client facing skills
- A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
- All-round technical building surveying knowledge
- An analytical mind with a high level of intellect - combining excellent written and oral skills to produce considered and robust reports and recommendations
Person
The successful candidate for the Building Surveyor job in Leeds will have a proven track record in a similar role in Construction Consultancy environment. You will also need to be proactive, positive and confident communicating at all levels and able to work as part of a close-knit team.
- Relevant Building Surveying experience in a construction consultancy environment
- Ambitious, career driven attitude
- Building Surveying degree/qualification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel
