As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor in Birmingham, you'll be a vital part of a collaborative team, supporting project delivery from start to finish. You will:

• Ensure robust cost control and accurate budget reporting
• Assist in delivering client satisfaction across the full construction project life cycle
• Work closely with experienced Quantity Surveyors, Employers’ Agents and regional project teams on high-value schemes

The position allows exposure to a variety of projects and provides the opportunity to build on your technical skills with mentoring and structured development.

Your key responsibilities as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor will include:

• Assisting with cost planning, cost management, and feasibility studies
• Supporting value engineering and procurement strategies
• Preparing and evaluating tenders
• Monitoring budgets and producing financial reports
• Helping fulfil Employers’ Agent duties
• Conducting valuations, progress reports, and contract administration

To succeed as an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you should demonstrate:

• Experience delivering cost management services within a consultancy or contractor environment
• Progressing toward or holding MRICS chartership
