Atkins Search are recruiting for an Accounts Manager to join a dynamic, aspiring construction and development firm based in Derby. This role is available for full time and part time candidates with a minimum of 3 days a week.

Role
Our client is looking for an Accounts Manager to oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable across the entire organisation. The Accounts Manager will be responsible for reviewing and reconciling all company accounts. They will process payments to external partners and maintain up-to-date records of all invoices and receipts.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all accounting documentation is correctly stored and highly visible.
- Analyse transaction records to comply with financial policies and procedures.
- Receive and verify billing and requisitions on all goods and services.
- Contact clients to capture timely payments.
- Maintain the authenticity and integrity of the company’s accounting affairs.
- Oversee all outstanding supplier, customer, and third-party vendor obligations.
- Process, send, and store all bank deposits and invoices.
- Identify and address discrepancies in all documentation.
- Update all databases and spreadsheets related to accounting.
Person
- Previous experience within accounts in the construction industry.
- Experience with Xero.
- Strong understanding of administration and accounts procedures and best practices.
- Impeccable time-management skills.
- Capability to stay organised and maintain detailed records.
- Experience in data entry.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving technical skills.
- Computer literacy.
