If you can evidence you started with your employer and need an enrolment backdate to fit the submission window, you can apply for up to a maximum of six months. The deadline to backdate typically falls in mid-summer (June for Land and Property, July for Built Environment).

Intent to Submit Deadlines 

The intent to submit form must be completed approximately six to eight weeks before the assessment date: 

  • Built Environment: Late August 
  • Land and Property: Late July 

RICS will communicate these details approximately one month before each deadline, providing full instructions on completing the intent to submit process. 

Submission Window Dates 

Once you’ve completed your intent to submit form, the submission window opens for an 11-day period: 

  • Built Environment: Mid to late September 
  • Land and Property: Mid to late August 

The submission window becomes available on the Assessment Platform from the first day for candidates who have completed their intent to submit form.

Apprentice candidates have additional requirements. For eligibility in the assessment window, your provider must have registered your details and checked for Gateway: 

  • Built Environment: Gateway deadline typically early September 
  • Land and Property: Gateway deadline typically late July
