Olivia's 4 Year Anniversary

Olivia joined Atkins Search back in July 2021, bringing with her a real passion for recruitment and a strong drive to make an impact in the construction industry. From day one, she’s been a key part of our journey. Olivia has grown with the business, supported the team and helped to shape what Atkins Search is today. 

One of Olivia’s standout achievements has been developing our Northern Division including Yorkshire and North West regions for construction consultancy recruitment. Through her hard work, relationship-building, and deep understanding of the sector, she’s helped establish a strong presence in the areas and build long-term partnerships with both clients and candidates. 

Over the past four years, Olivia has been a consistent source of dedication and positivity. Whether she’s delivering excellent service to clients and candidates or offering support and encouragement to her colleagues, Olivia’s contribution never goes unnoticed.

We asked Olivia to reflect on her 4 years at Atkins Search so far: 

4 years ago, I made probably one of the most positively impactful decisions of my professional career. At the time, joining a team of 4 was quite daunting, however I soon came to realise that I’d landed somewhere different. This was a team powered by genuine support, relentless collaboration, and an almost suspicious desire to see people thrive, but I can confirm that vibe has never ever changed since day 1. 

Fast forward to today where I manage our Yorkshire and Northern desk within the consultancy division and have been trusted to develop the desk beyond what I initially thought would be possible. This is something I will always be proud of! I can honestly say that my confidence has grown day by day, year on year, and it’s all thanks to the incredible team I’m surrounded by. I’ve been encouraged not only to grow professionally, but to remain true to myself – whether that means building lasting relationships, mentoring others, or simply being the person who brings a bit of laughter to the day. 

The last 4 years have been nothing short of amazing; full of learns, twists and turns but all whilst having a huge amount of fun along the way. I’ve been promoted, handed new desks to be responsible for, mentored new members of staff, delivered my own training sessions, attended countless of networking events, been taken away on trips abroad, and been part of some class social events – and I wouldn’t change a thing! 

I’ve mentioned the team a couple of times, but honestly, I’ve never worked anywhere else like it – the team spirit and family feel the moment you walk through the door is something you’ll never forget. Knowing I can turn to the person next to me – whether to ask a question, share an idea, or simply talk through a challenge – and receive genuine, thoughtful input, is something I never take for granted. Where have you ever worked that when you ask a question, everyone jumps up to help or suggest an idea? I’d never experienced such a collaborative way of working since joining Atkins Search…   

I will forever be grateful to Laura, Antony and the entire Atkins Search family for the endless support and fun throughout the last 4 years and I look forward to many more years to come!
