Celebrating Laura’s 7-Year Anniversary at Atkins Search! 

Today, we’re incredibly proud to celebrate a 7-year work anniversary for our amazing Operations Director, Laura Belcher! 

Laura’s leadership and passion have played a huge role in shaping who we are as a business today. Please join us in congratulating Laura on this brilliant milestone! 

Laura’s Journey and Achievements 

Since joining Atkins Search in 2019, Laura has been a driving force behind the business. From streamlining processes and mentoring team members to helping guide the company through periods of growth and change, her impact has been felt across every part of the organisation. 

Now operating as Operations Director, Laura plays a key role in the strategic and day-to-day running of the business. Her experience and people-first approach continue to strengthen our recruitment strategies and ensure our culture remains at the heart of everything we do. 

Laura consistently goes above and beyond in everything she does, both for the business and for her clients and candidates. She has built her team on trust, and her leadership is a source of inspiration to many within the business. This commitment to creating a supportive, high-performing environment have helped shape our culture and reinforce our reputation as an employer of choice within the construction industry. 

Laura’s Reflections on Her 7-Year Anniversary 

We asked Laura to reflect on her seven years at Atkins Search, and this is what she had to say: 

If you’d told me seven years ago, when I was at a real career crossroads, that I’d be celebrating seven years at Atkins Search as Operations Director, I’m not sure I’d have believed you. 

This journey began with a single conversation with Antony Rowe, one that gave me clarity, purpose and a renewed sense of motivation and ambition. In February 2019, I trusted my gut and took a chance. Seven years on, I can honestly say it’s the best career decision I’ve ever made. To be surrounded by such an incredible team, achieving things that seemed impossible and looking back on unforgettable trips to Dublin, London, Las Vegas and Palma (just to name a few) is more than I ever imagined. 

When I first walked into Atkins Search (Atkins James back then!), I knew I was joining something special. From the start, the goal was to build a business where people felt supported, where the “grind” had meaning and where we challenged the negative stereotypes often associated with recruitment. We’ve had our ups and downs and we’re still learning every day but the heart, values and ethos of the business have never changed, something I’m incredibly proud to be part of. 

At Atkins Search, culture isn’t just a word, it’s something every member of the team lives and breathes, both professionally and personally. It’s about showing up for one another and winning together. Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you, spend a lot of time with them and it will change your life forever – that’s Atkins Search. 

Stepping into the Operations Director role over the last year has been a huge personal journey. The most rewarding part of my role is supporting the business and our people to succeed and I’m excited about the growth plans we have ahead – big things are coming! 

I’m so grateful for the last seven years and for the people who’ve been by my side throughout the journey. Here’s to everything so far, and to whatever comes next.”
