Emma Welsh

With over 18 years of experience in the recruitment industry, Emma has worked across a wide range of sectors and roles, from hands-on delivery through to senior leadership. She began her career as a Resourcer at Right4Staff (later Gi Group), where she quickly progressed to Branch Manager, overseeing a flagship office delivering both temporary and permanent recruitment solutions across the Midlands.

Emma’s journey continued with Gi Group in a National Sales and Regional Operational role, where she focused on service delivery, training and performance improvement across multiple teams. Driven by a genuine passion for permanent recruitment, she later joined Macildowie to lead the clerical finance and commercial division across the East Midlands, an experience that further strengthened her client and candidate relationships.

Most recently, Emma played a key role at The Recruitment Group, where she established a brand-new division delivering permanent recruitment solutions across Engineering, Construction, Finance, HR, Supply Chain and Procurement on a national scale.

In 2025, Emma joined Atkins Search as Divisional Director, where she is responsible for managing the Permanent Construction and Residential team. She specialises in placing Construction professionals into reputable Main Contractors and Developers across the East Midlands, West Midlands, and South Yorkshire on both a permanent and freelance basis. Emma brings a wealth of industry knowledge and energy to the team and is passionate about providing high-quality, tailored recruitment solutions to both clients and candidates. She is proud of the long-lasting partnerships she has built and prides herself on operating in an open, honest, and ethical way to deliver the best results.

Outside of work, Emma is a proud mum to two children, often found in the evenings and weekends on the football pitch sidelines or cheering her daughter on at dance competitions. She is also a dog mum to Sanchez, a miniature dachshund who keeps her active and on her toes.
