Overview
Atkins Search are currently recruiting for a Structural Service Manager on behalf of one of our clients who operate across the East Midlands. We are searching for an experienced Structural Engineer who is looking to take the next step in their career and manage a team of engineers working on various public sector projects.
Client
Our client is an established organisation who support local council projects. They focus on the effective delivery of public sector projects of varying sizes with a spotlight on sustainability and social value, giving back to the local communities they work on behalf of.
Role
Working with the wider Design team and reporting directly to the organisations Head of Design, this is an opportunity that will allow successful applicants to continue to be hands on with projects whilst managing an enthusiastic team of engineers.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate working knowledge of spatial coordination, technical design, and BIM processes.
- Work collaboratively with team members to deliver projects to schedule and budget.
- Provision of specialist technical support so that statutory H&S requirements are met.
- Effectively lead the structures team through mentoring and coaching of team members.
- Attend regular meetings and site visits as required.
- Lead in the preparation of drawings through all RIBA work stages.
- Responsible for the production and coordination of technical drawings through the use of Autodesk Revit, CAD and Tekla.
Person
- Strong capability for leadership of a small team.
- Ability to demonstrate experience of structural design and understanding of the project lifecycle.
- Personable and communicative.
- Proficiency with relevant software including BIM.
Remuneration
£50,000-£60,000 plus highly competitive benefits package
