We’re working with an established construction contractor delivering hospital extension projects and are seeking an experience Working Site Supervisor to oversee daily site operations while remaining hands-on where required.
This is an excellent opportunity for a practical and organised Site Supervisor with a trade background to support the successful delivery of a live healthcare project, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Responsibilities
As a Working Site Supervisor in Wales, your responsibilities will include:
- Supervise and coordinate multiple trades on-site, ensuring works are completed in line with programme, drawings, and specifications
- Monitor subcontractor and direct labour productivity, quality, and compliance
- Ensure all operatives follow site rules, safety standards, and approved method statements
- Carry out regular site inspections to maintain quality and compliance standards
- Undertake practical construction tasks where required to support programme delivery
- Assist trades during critical phases or where additional labour support is needed
- Support the Site Manager with daily operations, planning, and logistics
- Maintain site records including progress updates, permits, and delivery documentation
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders as required
- Promote and enforce strong health & safety standards across site
- Ensure compliance with RAMS, CDM regulations, and hospital-specific safety requirements
- Identify defects and ensure timely rectification to meet quality standards
- Support toolbox talks, inductions, and site briefings

To be successful in this Working Site Supervisor role, you will need:
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Site Supervisor or similar construction supervisory role
- Trade background with strong practical, hands-on capability
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, coordination, and site logistics
- Experience managing multiple trades and competing priorities
- Good communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work under pressure and solve problems proactively
- Valid CSCS Card
Desirable:
- Experience working on healthcare projects or within live environments
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification
- First Aid at Work certification
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and healthcare compliance requirements
Remuneration
This Working Site Supervisor opportunity offers:
- Competitive rates of pay £270 - £280 per day (dependent on experience)
