A dedicated in-house Health & Safety manager ensures site and office welfare, safety, and mental wellbeing.

ROLE
As a Construction Site Manager, you'll be responsible for managing a skilled in house workforce alongside subcontractors, maintaining compliance with LABC standards, building regulations, and health & safety requirements. You will act as the primary point of contact for clients, local authorities, and stakeholders, providing clear communication and progress updates throughout the project lifecycle.
This is an excellent site management opportunity for an SMSTS qualified Site Manager or Senior Site Foreman to lead varied housing projects with a supportive regional contractor.
As a Site Manager in Nottingham, your responsibilities will include:
- Oversee day to day site operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Coordinate subcontractors and in-house trades to maintain smooth workflow.
- Monitor progress against project timelines and budgets.
- Ensure all works meet LABC standards and UK building regulations.
- Maintain accurate site records and reporting.
- Manage health and safety compliance on site in line with CDM 2015, risk assessment protocols and internal governance procedures
- Liaise with clients, local authorities, and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
PERSON
To be successful in this Site Manager job in Nottingham, you will bring proven experience managing housing maintenance and refurbishment projects.
- Previous experience as a Site Manager on residential or social housing projects.
- Knowledge of LABC standards, UK building regulations, and NHBC guidelines.
- Strong leadership and site operations management skills to coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site-based project teams
- Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid certifications (essential).
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
