
Site Manager
Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Construction Site Manager to join a well-established construction team, delivering high-profile projects within the public and private sector. This role involves planning and supervising construction works, reporting to the Project Manager on larger schemes while independently managing smaller projects. The successful candidate will take responsibility for ensuring all works are completed safely, on time, to budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Role
As a Construction Site Manager, you will lead site operations, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and overseeing all construction procedures. You will ensure projects are delivered to programme and cost, while promoting a culture of safety, excellence, and continuous improvement. You'll be key in driving the day-to-day site activity and liaising closely with clients and project stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing standards are upheld on-site.
- Chair regular meetings with the supply chain and project teams.
- Maintain strict quality control processes and documentation.
- Drive project progress in line with the programme and budget.
- Proactively identify and resolve construction issues.
- Support the integration of business management systems and the use of Asite as the project CDE.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and provide aftercare.
- Lead sustainability, quality, training, and development initiatives.
- Mentor and support the professional development of team members.
- Manage short-term programmes and ensure regular progress reviews.
- Keep accurate project records including site diaries and reports.
Person
- Proven experience managing construction projects in the education and healthcare sector.
- Sound technical knowledge and financial awareness.
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Minimum HNC in a relevant construction discipline (HND or degree desirable).
- CITB SMSTS certification and valid CSCS card.
- Strong leadership capabilities and commercial acumen.
- Competent IT skills; experience with Asta PowerProject is advantageous.
- Enthusiastic about continuous improvement and upholding company values.
