As Senior Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of major construction projects, providing technical expertise and engineering leadership across all phases of construction.

Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors and design teams, you will ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme, specification and quality requirements.

• Providing engineering leadership and technical support to project delivery teams
• Managing and coordinating setting out activities across multiple work packages
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical information to ensure project compliance
• Ensuring works are delivered in accordance with quality standards, design requirements and project programmes
• Managing and mentoring Site Engineers and Junior Engineers
• Liaising with clients, consultants, subcontractors and site teams to resolve technical issues
• Producing and reviewing RAMS, inspection test plans and quality documentation
• Managing site records, as-built information and engineering documentation
• Monitoring subcontractor performance and ensuring compliance with project requirements
• Supporting project planning, sequencing and construction methodologies
• Identifying and mitigating engineering and construction risks
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards at all times
• Supporting project teams during audits, inspections and client reviews
• Contributing to project delivery strategies and continuous improvement initiatives

The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a Senior Site Engineer within a main contracting environment and possess strong technical, organisational and communication skills.

• Degree or HNC/HND qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
• Previous experience working for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 main contractor
• Proven experience delivering large-scale construction projects
• Strong understanding of setting out, surveying and quality assurance procedures
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and construction specifications
• Experience managing engineers and coordinating subcontractor activities
• Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and site compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial awareness and understanding of project delivery processes
• Analytical, proactive and solutions-focused approach
• Competent using industry-standard surveying equipment and software
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and construction technology platforms
• Must currently hold SC Clearance or be confident in their ability to successfully obtain Security Clearance (SC)
• Full UK driving licence
