- OverviewAtkins Search are currently looking to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join one of the UK's leading main contractors, operating out of their regional office in Cambridge.ClientAn award-winning principal main contractor with over a decade's experience, our client are a reputable, relationship driven business focussed on delivering high-quality projects across a range of sectors. With several regional offices across the UK, our client deliver a wide variety interesting schemes across the public and private sectors including healthcare, education, blue light, MOD, MOJ and heritage with values between £10m - £30m. RoleAs Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will operate as part of a strong Commercial team to lead a variety of projects across the Northampton and Cambridge regions. Supported by an experienced team, you will oversee several varied projects under your remit.Responsibilities
- Collate and present monthly project reports to report to Senior team
- Update all costs across projects on a regular basis
- Assist the team with commercial and contractual expertise
- Assembling of costs for forecasting in line with site budgets
- Supporting junior members of the commercial team
- Develop and manage mitigation plans Person
- Excellent man management skills
- Strong and capable communicator at all levels
- Contractually excellent - JCT and NEC
- Variety of project and sector knowledge
- Well networked with sub-contractors in the region
- Demonstrate excellent negotiation skills and build strong relationships with clients, consultants, supply chains and team members
