CLIENT

My client is an esteemed, professional Construction Consultancy that provide a variety of services to national clients across all property sectors, including both public and private sectors.

You will join a team of industry leading professionals with the option to work across a variety of sectors across the Midlands, including; Commercial, Education, Healthcare, Residential, Higher Education, Sports & Leisure, Local Authority, Heritage and many more exciting projects!

ROLE

As Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for delivering enthralling projects with a hands-on approach throughout the whole project life cycle from inception to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered within budget, on time, and to the client's requirements.

Your duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Manage 2-3 construction projects (depending on size and complexity) from inception to completion as Client Lead
  • Ensure all projects are delivered within budget, on time and to the client's requirements with regular site visits and inspections
  • Efficiently manage multi-disciplined project teams which include architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors in a collaborative manner
  • Develop project management strategies including planning, programming, scheduling to monitor project progress
  • Identify and alleviate any risks and challenges, create and implement contingency plans to mitigate any issues that may arise.
  • Monitor project budgets and track expenditures using cost control measures throughout the whole project lifecycle
  • Maintain, network and build relationships with clients, stakeholders, project teams and supply chain to provide an exceptional level of service and secure future workload
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, any relevant legal and industry standards and contractual agreements
  • Mentor and guide trainee, assistant and junior team members, nurturing their professional growth and development

PERSON

The successful Senior Project Manager will be aligned with the above job description as well as having –

  • Construction related degree (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience as Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in Consultancy environment
  • Strong track record of delivering and managing various Construction projects from inception to completion, to time and budget
  • Chartered status (or working towards) i.e. MCIOB, MRICS, APM, ChPP or similar
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop, build and maintain strong relationships

REMUNERATION
