We’re representing a well-established MEP Consultancy seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their multidisciplinary team delivering projects across the Midlands and South of England. The consultancy has a strong pipeline of work across industrial, residential, student accommodation, and retail sectors, offering exposure to a diverse range of technically challenging schemes.

Our client is an innovative and rapidly expanding M&E (Mechanical and Electrical) Design Consultancy located in Nottingham, who focus on providing high-quality, energy-efficient engineering solutions.

Their expertise spans a diverse range of sectors, including industrial, retail, historic and listed buildings, as well as high-end residential projects - from single-occupancy homes to multi-unit apartment developments.

As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

• Lead the electrical design and delivery of building services projects from RIBA Stage 4 through to completion
• Prepare and review detailed electrical designs, specifications, calculations, and technical documentation
• Coordinate with mechanical engineers, architects, contractors, and other design consultants
• Attend client meetings and act as a key point of contact throughout project delivery
• Manage project workloads to ensure delivery against programme and budget requirements
• Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and design team members
• Review design information to ensure compliance with current regulations, standards, and project requirements
• Support project delivery through construction and commissioning phases where required
• Maintain effective communication with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders

To be successful in this Senior Electrical Design Engineer role, you will need:

• Senior Electrical Design Engineer experience within an MEP consultancy.
• Strong electrical building services design knowledge.
• Proven delivery of projects from Stage 4 through to completion.
• Confident managing client relationships and attending project meetings.
• Ability to work independently and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ideally Chartered, Incorporated or working towards accreditation.
• Own software and hardware preferred.
