Nationally recognised, our client are a construction consultancy, renowned for specialising in delivering varied schemes across the retail, education, healthcare, residential, commercial and industrial sectors. Due to an increase in workload and internal promotions, they're recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join their established Commercial Team.

Role

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be working as part of a forward-thinking commercial team to deliver various retail, commercial, and education schemes throughout the region.

Working alongside the Associates and Senior Quantity Surveyors, your job will be to support in the delivery of projects in a cost-effective, quality focused manor. Due to the expansion of the business, there are genuine opportunities to progress in your role and build a long-term career.

Responsibilities

As a Quantity Surveyor based in London, you will:

  • Be responsible for both pre and post contract duties
  • Raising purchase orders
  • Reviewing quotes
  • Agreeing costs
  • Client Liaison
  • Cost estimating
  • Tender document preparation / analysis / reporting
  • Contract documentation / administration
  • Valuations / final accounts
  • Cost reports
  • Site visits

Person

The ideal candidate for the Graduate Quantity Surveyor job will have recently completed a BSc in Quantity Surveying. You will also need to be proactive, positive and confident communicating at all levels and able to work as part of a close-knit team.

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Quantity Surveying or relevant construction field
  • Ideally 5+ years experience
  • MRICS qualified or working towards
  • Dynamic, confident individual
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in using MS Office and CostX

Remuneration

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be joining an established consultancy with excellent growth plans for the future. You will have a forum to build an established career, surrounded by like-minded individuals.

  • Competitive Salary depending on experience (£45,000 - £60,000)
