ROLE
As a Construction Project Manager in Birmingham, you will take a hands-on approach to deliver engaging projects throughout the entire project lifecycle, from inception to completion, ensuring all projects are delivered within budget, on time and meet the client's requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Project Manager in Birmingham, your duties will include:
- Managing construction projects (depending on size and complexity) from inception to completion, with full support from Senior Management
- Ensuring all projects are delivered within budget, on time and to the client's requirements, including regular site visits and inspections
- Efficiently managing multi-disciplined project teams, including architects, engineers, contractors and subcontractors, in a collaborative manner
- Developing project management strategies, including planning, programming and scheduling, to monitor project progress
- Leading programme management across hospitality, commercial and residential sectors
- Identifying and mitigating risks and challenges, implementing contingency plans as necessary
- Monitoring project budgets and tracking expenditures using cost control measures throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintaining and building relationships with clients, stakeholders, project teams and the supply chain to provide exceptional service
- Ensuring compliance with construction health and safety regulations (CDM 2015), relevant legal and industry standards, and contractual agreements
- Overseeing stakeholder management and construction delivery across all RIBA stages
PERSON
The ideal Project Manager in Birmingham will demonstrate:
Essential Requirements:
- A construction-related degree or HNC/HND in Construction Management (or equivalent)
- A proven track record as a Construction Project Manager in a construction consultancy, client-side, or hospitality-focused environment, with ideally a minimum of 3 years' experience
- A strong understanding of standard construction project management processes and documentation across all RIBA stages
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to develop, build and maintain strong relationships
- Proficiency in IT , including Microsoft Office packages
- Experience with JCT and/or NEC Contracts
- Full UK driving licence for site visits across Birmingham and the West Midlands
Highly Desirable:
- SMSTS or NEBOSH certification
- Experience in Senior Project Manager or project leadership roles
- Knowledge of construction delivery management and cost planning consultancy
- Assistant Project Manager experience looking to progress to Project Manager level
