Role
As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing construction projects from inception to completion, with an initial focus on cladding and remediation schemes and the opportunity to expand into a range of sectors. You will manage contractors, coordinate project schedules, control budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. The role requires close collaboration with clients, designers, and site teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
The role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities, while maintaining a focus on client satisfaction and value creation. Responsibilities
As a Project Manager based in Manchester, your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage projects from inception to completion.
- Develop, monitor, and maintain project schedules and timelines.
- Oversee and coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Ensure projects are delivered within budget and meet financial targets.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with health, safety, and building regulations.
- Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Conduct regular site inspections and progress reports.
- Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid delays or cost overruns.
- Review and approve project documentation, including drawings, method statements, and progress reports.
- Resolve on-site issues promptly and maintain high-quality standards throughout the project.
- Drive continuous improvement and best practices across all projects.
Person
To be successful as a Project Manager in Manchester, you will align with our requirements and bring:
- Proven experience in project management with similar sector experience.
- Relevant construction related degree.
- MRICS or working towards chartership.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Experience coordinating contractors, subcontractors, and site teams.
- Ability to manage budgets, monitor costs, and deliver projects within financial targets.
- Understanding of health, safety, and building regulations with a focus on compliance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
- Problem-solving mindset and ability to make decisions under pressure.
- Flexible to travel to other offices within Yorkshire.
