Atkins Search are working with a respected construction contractor delivering a range of infrastructure and groundwork packages across London. Due to continued project demand, we’re seeking a skilled Groundworker to support high-quality delivery across multiple sites.

This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and hands-on Groundworker to contribute to major projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

As a Groundworker in London, your responsibilities will include:

• Install kerbs, edgings, and channels to required line and level
• Lay slabs, paving, and footpaths to a high standard
• Carry out deep drainage works, including trenching, pipe laying, manholes, and associated groundworks
• Read and interpret drawings, site plans, and levels
• Use lasers, levels, and other setting-out equipment as guided by the on site engineer
• Ideally be able operate small plant and tools (e.g. dumpers, rollers, cut-off saws) where certified
• Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
• Work collaboratively with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

To be successful in this Groundworker job, you will need:

• Proven experience in groundworks, specifically kerbing, slabbing, and deep drainage
• Ability to work to tight tolerances and meet project deadlines
• Strong understanding of groundwork techniques and materials
• Experience reading technical drawings and setting out
• Valid CSCS Card (essential)
• CPCS/NPORS tickets for plant operation (desirable)
• Confined Spaces and Street Works (NRSWA) tickets advantageous
• Full UK driving licence preferred
