Role
This Graduate Building Surveyor role based in Manchester offers a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious surveying graduate to build technical expertise and progress towards Chartered status.
Working closely with experienced Building Surveyors and wider project teams, you will support the delivery of professional instructions, refurbishment projects and client advisory services across a varied property portfolio.
The role provides excellent exposure to both professional and project-focused Building Surveying disciplines, helping you gain valuable experience across APC competencies.
Responsibilities
As a Graduate Building Surveyor based in Manchester, your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with building surveys, inspections and measured surveys
- Supporting technical due diligence and acquisition surveys
- Assisting with schedules of condition and dilapidations instructions
- Supporting defect diagnosis investigations and reporting
- Assisting with contract administration duties on refurbishment projects
- Preparing specifications, schedules of work and tender documentation
- Supporting project monitoring and progress reporting activities
- Attending client meetings, site visits and contractor progress meetings
- Coordinating with consultants, contractors and project stakeholders
- Assisting with compliance assessments and statutory requirements reviews
- Maintaining accurate project records and survey documentation
- Working towards APC competencies and MRICS qualification through structured support and mentoring
