Role
As a Geotechnical Engineer in this business, you will be joining a team of enthusiastic professionals and taking the lead on a wide variety of exciting projects. These projects will include residential, student accommodation, industrial, education, heavy civils and commercial schemes across the UK.
The business offers a wide range of services to their clients including coal mining risk assessments, producing comprehensive foundation designs, slope stability assessment, preparing tender and contract documents, supervising geotechnical activities and site investigations.
Responsibilities
- Work closely and effectively with other teams in the business.
- Visiting sites to inspect and supervise geotechnical aspects of projects (trial pitting, soakaway testing, supervising borehole investigations etc)
- Preparing phase 1 and 2 geotechnical site investigation reports.
- Liaising with clients and site staff effectively.
- Carrying out detailed quantitative risk assessments.
Person
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Geography, Geology or Civil Engineering.
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in a Geotechnical role.
- Able to reliably commute to the office in Sheffield.
- Personable and comfortable working as a part of a dynamic team.
Remuneration
£35,000-£45,000 plus a comprehensive benefits package including –
