Are you an experienced Construction Estimator looking for a new opportunity in the Lincoln area?

Our client, a respected regional main contractor, is seeking an Estimator to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

As an Estimator, you will play a key role within the construction team, preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a range of new build and refurbishment schemes, typically up to £10 million in value.

You will work collaboratively with senior management, commercial teams, and project delivery staff to ensure tenders are well-prepared, commercially sound, and aligned with the company’s commitment to quality and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities Include:

• Managing the tender process for Traditional and Design & Build projects
• Reviewing tender documentation and preparing subcontract and material enquiries
• Producing detailed and measured Bills of Quantities and cost breakdowns
• Undertaking risk and value management throughout the tender process
• Preparing budgets, estimates, and cost plans
• Attending internal adjudications and assisting with client presentations
• Building and maintaining relationships with supply chain partners
• Supporting handover meetings and value engineering initiatives

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contracting environment
• A strong technical understanding of construction methods and processes
• Experience working on both refurbishment and new build projects across multiple sectors
• Good working knowledge of CDM 2015, Health & Safety, and modern construction methods
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and estimating software
• Excellent attention to detail, commercial awareness, and communication skills
• The ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
• A proactive, organised, and team-oriented approach

Qualifications

• HNC, HND, or Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred but not essential)
• Full UK driving licence
