OVERVIEW
Are you an experienced Construction Estimator looking for a new opportunity in the Lincoln area?
Our client, a respected regional main contractor, is seeking an Estimator to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

ROLE
As an Estimator, you will play a key role within the construction team, preparing accurate and competitive tenders for a range of new build and refurbishment schemes, typically up to £10 million in value.
You will work collaboratively with senior management, commercial teams, and project delivery staff to ensure tenders are well-prepared, commercially sound, and aligned with the company’s commitment to quality and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Managing the tender process for Traditional and Design & Build projects
- Reviewing tender documentation and preparing subcontract and material enquiries
- Producing detailed and measured Bills of Quantities and cost breakdowns
- Undertaking risk and value management throughout the tender process
- Preparing budgets, estimates, and cost plans
- Attending internal adjudications and assisting with client presentations
- Building and maintaining relationships with supply chain partners
- Supporting handover meetings and value engineering initiatives
PERSON
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Proven experience as an Estimator within a main contracting environment
- A strong technical understanding of construction methods and processes
- Experience working on both refurbishment and new build projects across multiple sectors
- Good working knowledge of CDM 2015, Health & Safety, and modern construction methods
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and estimating software
- Excellent attention to detail, commercial awareness, and communication skills
- The ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- A proactive, organised, and team-oriented approach
Qualifications
- HNC, HND, or Degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or a related discipline (preferred but not essential)
- Full UK driving licence
